Heritage Auto Repair Receives "Brightest Star" Award

Print

For Immediate Release: Heritage Auto Repair, owned by Tony and Becca Zanders, was named Meridian’s 2006 “Brightest Star“ for the City of Meridian Small business category by Mayor Tammy De Weerd.

Heritage then went on to receive statewide recognition, as one of three finalists for the State award.  Idaho’s Brightest Stars is an elite statewide competition organized by the Governor’s Coordinating Council on Families & Children and presided over by Governor and First Lady.  The award honors community volunteers who better the lives of children and families in Idaho.

According to the Governor, Jim Risch, their business was honored for representing an ideal blend of entrepreneurial spirit and community involvement, and for sharing time and expertise with those who need it most. Whether providing cars to families without transportation, mentoring vo-tech students at their worksite, or offering free oil changes to single mothers and veterans, they quietly contribute to the betterment of Meridian in a myriad of ways.
